Summertime is the busiest season for movers, so if you're looking to move during that time, you should contact your movers sooner rather than later. We recommend about 4 to 6 weeks before your moving date to give our team enough time to assess your move, give you a proper estimate and, finally, book your move date. We realize advance planning is not always possible, and we will do our best to accommodate last minute customers as well.

Usually, a sales representative will be able to give you a good idea of the working time it might take to complete the job and price range you’re looking for over the phone. But for the most accurate estimate, Butler Moving recommends an on-site appointment to review details of your move.

On moving day, our professional team will do a few minutes walkthrough around your property with you, after that we will do a pre-pack/ packing service (if needed) and after that we will start loading your belongings into our truck. You won't have to worry about a thing. Our movers will handle everything, so you can sit back and relax.

If you need to change the date of your move, contact your movers as soon as possible and discuss an alternative date.

When the movers first arrive, they will do a walk through of your current home, confirming which items are going and which are not.

Absolutely. When we deliver your items to your new home the movers will work closely with you to make sure all furniture and boxes arrive in the correct rooms, and we are happy to arrange and rearrange the furniture exactly as you would like it.

We are happy to provide the best possible care for every moving day, but understand that some of our customers require more time and understanding when they're moving.

You are not required to put in any effort if you hire professional movers. On the other hand, if you want to help, you will be more than welcome to do so. The best thing you could do is to offer some refreshments, keep your home safe and keep your children focused on other things so they don’t get in the way.

Keep in mind that moving is both a science and an art, and each move is different. The best way to keep costs down is to be as prepared as possible for when the movers arrive, which will reduce or eliminate unexpected/unnecessary time.

Another time saver, if we are not packing for you, is for you to use the same size boxes and be sure they are taped closed and labeled correctly for the movers. Stack them up, so the movers can just place them on the dolly and go. Also, while the movers will be happy to do so, disassembly of furniture takes up time as well. You can try to disassemble any beds, desks, etc. to cut down on time. In short anything that you can do yourself or anything that can help the movers move faster will cut down on your cost.
